Mina-Chan and Sally-Chan

I'm trying to do more group shots and more Sonic characters (that aren't original.) In honing my Sonic skillz, I hope to some day draw for Archie Comics. In doing that, I also wanted to do a bit of 'redesign' to the characters. My philosophy in style is "Simple yet complex"
Anime is simple, yet complex. Take Sailor moon as an example, simple chip-chop bangs two long coils of hair, and a sailor suit... but the details bring it to life - twin pinstripes on her collar, the lines highlighting the curls, the ruffle of a dress.

Simple - Sally Acorn - Clothes - Boots and a Vest.
Complex - Buttons and loops for them, a pocket, holder for Nicole on right boot, bunched up material 'sleeves'.

Simple - Mina Mongoose - Original design - tank top and shorts, wears boots. Gauntlets.
Complex - Long shirt with cut off shoulders, knotted up at one end and hanging down on the other. Shorts have useless little ties on them that look cool. Gauntlets more comple. Varied size and shape of earrings. Boots have more 'sections', ties, snaps, etc.

btw... does Mina have a tail? I think so but.. not the picture I looked at for reference.
